The Buffalo Bills continued to bolster their depleted running back depth chart on Wednesday, but they also made a highly interesting addition to their talented defensive line, as well.
The Buffalo Bills announced on Wednesday that they have signed veteran defensive lineman Red Bryant and third-year running back Cierre Wood to their 90-man roster. Released to make room: reserve tight end Chris Manhertz and cornerback Rod Sweeting.
Bryant is the far more notable and interesting addition of the two. An eighth-year pro formerly of Seattle and Jacksonville, the 6'4", 323-pound lineman offers little in the way of pass rush ability, which is why Jacksonville released him early this offseason to save money against the salary cap.
