Bills GM Doug Whaley is no longer a lame duck front office executive; now, he'll (probably) have as long as Rex Ryan has to end Buffalo's 16-year streak without a playoff appearance.
The Buffalo Bills have signed general manager Doug Whaley to a contract extension. Team owner Kim Pegula tweeted the news during NFL playoff action on Sunday afternoon, from what appears to be a lovely, warm locale aboard a boat.

News emerged last week that the Bills were planning on signing Whaley, who before the extension was entering the final year of his deal.
