The Buffalo Bills made a change on special teams, announcing the signing of free agent punter Matt Darr. As part of the transaction, the Bills released punter Colton Schmidt again.
Darr was the punter for the Miami Dolphins during the 2015 and 2016 seasons, and has been out of the NFL since failing to make the Dolphins’ 53-man roster in 2017. In two seasons with Miami, Darr attempted 182 punts for an average of 46 yards each. Darr was also the primary holder in Miami on field goals and extra points, and one can assume that he will fill this role for Buffalo.
