Thursday, the NFL announced that Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde won AFC Defensive Player of the Month for October. This is the second award that won by a member of the Bills secondary this year, after cornerback Tre’Davious White won Rookie of the Month in September.
Hyde has played outstanding all season for the Bills, but his four interceptions in the month of October made him a clear choice for the award. The safety broke up six passes and totaled 22 tackles last month, too.
On the year, Hyde leads the NFL in interceptions with five, which already surpasses his previous single season career high of three.
