A big reason why the Buffalo Bills (5-2) defeated the Oakland Raiders (3-5) by a 34-14 score Sunday afternoon was the dynamic performance of running back LeSean McCoy. McCoy rushed for a season-high 151 yards on a season-most 27 carries, scoring on a 48-yard touchdown run while averaging 5.6 yards per rush, also a season-best figure.
McCoy’s second time eclipsing 100-plus rushing yards during the 2017 season gave him eight games with 150-plus rushing yards over the last five seasons, tops in the NFL by a wide margin.
McCoy leads Pittsburgh Steelers’ star Le’Veon Bell (four), Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi (three), Arizona Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson (three), and Tennessee Titans tailback DeMarco Murray (three) with the most games of 150-plus rushing yards over the last five years.
