That time has officially come—roster cuts. The Buffalo Bills have released punter Sam Martin. Martin was entering the final year of his contract but the release saves Buffalo almost $1.9 million in cap space.
The 35-year-old joined Buffalo in 2022 and has averaged 46.7 yards per punt across the last seasons. Perhaps the Bills prefer to roll with a young and cheaper option for the 2025-26 season after Martin was in the bottom 10 in punting stats in 2024.
Buffalo signed punter Jake Camarda to a reserves/futures contract at the beginning of the new year, leaving him as the sole punter on the roster at the moment.
