The Buffalo Bills made a move to retain an essential member of their special teams unit, re-signing veteran linebacker Deon Lacey for one more season. Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but the exclusive-rights free agent probably signed for the veteran minimum, or something very close to it.
Lacey, 28, initially came to Buffalo via a waiver claim after the Miami Dolphins cut him in September of 2017. Lacey has only played 22 defensive snaps for the Bills in two seasons, but he led the squad in special teams reps in both 2017 and 2018.
