The Buffalo Bills not only pulled off a stunning comeback during Sunday’s 17-16 road win over the New York Jets during the season-opener for both teams, they accomplished a rare feat in the proud history of the franchise.
For just the third time in team history, Buffalo (1-0) won a game after trailing by at least 13 points entering the fourth quarter.
After directing the offense to a Stephen Hauschka field goal, Josh Allen completed 8 of 10 passes for 103 yards with a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown over Buffalo’s final two drives of the game, culminating in a 38-yard TD toss to John Brown to give the Bills a 17-16 lead with 2:55 remaining.
