While the Senior Bowl is the one that gets most of the coverage, the East-West Shrine Bowl really is the first opportunity for NFL teams to get an up close look at some players in April’s NFL Draft. This is also an opportunity for players to increase their draft stock and as well as speak directly to teams.
While this game won’t include prospects expected to be at the top of the NFL Draft, there are players in this game that will be likely mid to late round picks that can have an impact on the team. The Bills currently have two players on their roster, John Brown and Micah Hyde, who have participated in the Shrine Bowl prior to the NFL and were key contributors this past season.
