Colt Anderson, projected to be a special teams ace and backup safety for the Buffalo Bills for the last two seasons, was placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list Wednesday due to a foot injury. With depth at safety an issue for Buffalo, any injury at the position is an important one.
Anderson signed with the Bills last April. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2009, spending the ‘09 and ‘10 seasons on the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad. He signed a three-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010, where he crossed paths with then-Eagles defensive coordinator and current Bills head coach Sean McDermott.
