The Buffalo Bills signed Charles Clay to a five-year deal back in 2015 and he has not exactly been a top target during his tenure.
That is why the team may decide to utilize some of the cap space this offseason and cut him at a lower cost thanks to the construction of his contract.
Clay appeared in 13 games this season and only recorded 21 catches for 184 yards. Meanwhile, Jason Croom led all tight ends with 22 receptions for 259 yards.
It was a bad year for all pass-catchers on the roster, but the tight ends stood out as another weak spot on the offense.
