Facing a short week, the Buffalo Bills (5-2) appear to be getting healthier heading into Thursday night’s prime-time game vs. the New York Jets (3-5) at MetLife Stadium.
During a session with the media Tuesday, first-year head coach Sean McDermott said he is “hoping” to have both starting cornerback E.J. Gaines (hamstring) and starting free safety Jordan Poyer (knee) back on the field when the Bills go for the season sweep of the Jets.
When asked about Poyer, McDermott said the key free agent signee "had a good day yesterday (Monday)," and is listed as day-to-day after he injured his knee on the final play of the Tampa Bay game.
