On Friday, the Buffalo Bills held a local pro day, where Western New York-based draft-eligible players could show off their stuff to the hometown pro team. Players from local college football teams are invited as well as players who grew up locally but played college football elsewhere.
The headliner was University at Buffalo Bulls quarterback Tyree Jackson. The big-bodied quarterback has all the physical tools to be a successful NFL QB but is labeled as a project by NFL scouts.
Also in town was wide receiver Anthony Johnson. While he wasn’t expected to attend the pro day, WIVB spoke with him at Buffalo’s Spring Game and reported he did participate.
