The Buffalo Bills will begin the 2019 season with a win thanks to a 24-16 victory over the Indianapolis Colts at New Era Field. It wasn’t the cleanest performance, and while wins and losses in preseason don’t carry much weight, it was good to see this team fight to hold on for the victory.
The Bills’ defense, both first and second string, set the tone in this one as they stifled the Colts’ offense, allowing only one first down over their first six drives. The fact the Colts were without Andrew Luck may have played a role but there is no question that this defense looks like they will pick up right where they left off last season.
