Buffalo Bills have completely gutted roster since Doug Marrone left

When you haven’t made the NFL playoffs this century, it takes a combination of bad luck, poor drafting, and inconsistent production from free agent signees. For the Buffalo Bills, who haven’t been to the postseason since falling to the Tennessee Titans in the Music City Miracle during the 1999 season, the perfect summary of this ineptitude can be viewed through the lack of players remaining from the Doug Marrone era, which ended just two years ago.

While most teams cycle through players (especially if the on-field results haven’t added up), it is unusual for Buffalo to only boast eight players on the current roster who played for Marone: linebacker Preston Brown, defensive tackle Marcell Dareus, left tackle Cordy Glenn, tackle Seantrel Henderson, defensive end Jerry Hughes, punter Colton Schmidt, defensive tackle Kyle Williams, and center Eric Wood.
