Buffalo Bills free agents Jordan Matthews, Joe Webb find new teams

Two former Buffalo Bills have officially found new homes as free agent wide receiver Jordan Matthews and quarterback/special teams ace Joe Webb found new teams Thursday. Starting with the positive news, both departures should increase the chances that the Bills receive compensatory draft picks next year.

Per Adam Schefter, Jordan Matthews has agreed to a one-year deal with the New England Patriots where he will continue their long-standing tradition of amassing capable slot receivers. In Buffalo, Matthews’ lone season was derailed by injuries. Starting seven games with appearances in three more, Matthews finished the year with 25 catches for 282 yards and a single touchdown.
