Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus appeared to incur an ankle injury early in Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Dareus came out after the Bills’ first play on defense and did not return for the duration of the Panthers’ drive and remains on the sideline. His return is questionable.
The Panthers drove down the length of the field on the drive near the Bills’ end zone, and came away with a field goal to start the game.
The Panthers are without starting center Ryan Kalil this afternoon and backup defensive back Jerel Worthy is out with a concussion, further exacerbating the problem on the hot, humid day in North Carolina.
