Buffalo Bills fans would have known that disaster had struck if Derek Anderson appeared in a game in 2019.
That fear can be put to rest after news broke Thursday night that Anderson has decided to retire after less than a year with the Bills.
The veteran showed up last season to be the mentor to Josh Allen. Then injuries happened and the thought of Nathan Peterman taking any more snaps became too much to bear. Enter Anderson, who ended up struggling and ultimately suffering a nasty concussion that may have helped his decision to retire.
