On Monday, one member of the Buffalo Bills organization retired, and it’s not who you think. Bills defensive line coach Mike Waufle announced his retirement shortly after Eric Wood’s non-retirement/retirement press conference.
“I was in constant pain on a daily basis — both knees, foot, back, ankle. All those things added up from my playing days,” Waufle told The Evening Tribune in his hometown of Hornell, NY. He informed head coach Sean McDermott two days after their playoff loss.
Waufle spent one year with the Bills, but had been an NFL assistant since 1997.
