Buffalo Bills cornerback E.J. Gaines leaves game with injury

Apparently, it’s not a good day to be a cornerback who was involved in a trade with the Buffalo Bills.

E.J. Gaines, acquired from the Los Angeles Rams along with a second round pick in next year’s NFL Draft when the Bills traded Sammy Watkins in August, left the game in the fourth quarter. He was listed as questionable to return with a shoulder injury.

Gaines was involved in a competition for the starting right cornerback job, and after Kevon Seymour was traded to the Carolina Panthers for receiver Kaelin Clay and a seventh round draft pick, Gaines beat Shareece Wright to earn the starting gig.
