Buffalo Bills core special teamer Corey Thompson had ankle surgery on Wednesday and will be out for a while, the team announced. Sean McDermott told the media he doesn’t expect Thompson to be out for the rest of the season.
“We’ll just take it one week at a time right now,” said McDermott, informing the media Thompson was not going to be placed on injured reserve at this time.
Thompson played 70% of the team’s special teams snaps over the first two weeks of the season, leading the team with Maurice Alexander, Julian Stanford, and Kurt Coleman.
