On Thursday, the Buffalo Bills announced that they had cancelled their third and final day of the team’s mandatory minicamp. Instead, the whole team will spend the day doing a team-building activity. This is becoming more common in the NFL, as teams value establishing a strong bond among the players and coaching staff. It also makes the decision easier when the weather’s less-than-ideal. Orchard Park is sitting through rain for most of the day.
Other teams that cancelled their final minicamp practice in lieu of team-building include the New England Patriots (who cancelled two days), Oakland Raiders, Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers, and New York Jets.
