When the Buffalo Bills held training camp at St. John Fisher College this summer, Callie Brownson was there as a training camp intern for the Bills.
On Wednesday, the Bills announced they were bringing Brownson back as a coaching intern on head coach Sean McDermott’s staff for the upcoming season.
Brownson, 29, gained notoriety during the 2018 NCAA football season when she made history as the first full-time female coach in Division I when she served on the Dartmouth College coaching staff as recruiting coordinator.
Brownson is following in the footsteps of Kathryn Smith, who herself made coaching history when she served as special teams quality control coach for the Bills in 2016 under then-head coach Rex Ryan.
