Buffalo Bills anticipate Tommy Sweeney’s return in 2021

Tight end Tommy Sweeney is expected to return to action in 2021, Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane revealed to reporters in a Tuesday press conference.

Sweeney was infected by the COVID-19 virus in 2020, and suffered from myocarditis in the aftermath of his illness. The condition, which is an inflammation of heart muscle, affected his performance and risk factor during physical activity, which led to him sitting out the entire 2020 season as a precaution.

Now, though, Sweeney has passed his tests with the cardiologist and is working out with the Bills preparing for 2021.
