We heard rumors back in June that the Buffalo Bills were going to honor the 1964 and 1965 AFL Championship teams at their home opener Indianapolis Colts, but there was one problem: the players they were purportedly honoring hadn't heard anything from the team, and the Bills never put out a press release about the event. That changed in late August.
Tammy McDole, daughter of Bills legend Ron McDole, posted the following to the "Remember the AFL" Facebook group on August 27, giving folks invited to attend just over two weeks to make arrangements.
