Buffalo Bills add a familiar face Philly Brown to the receiving corps

After Jordan Matthews went down with an injury that’s expected to keep him out for a month, the Buffalo Bills needed help at the receiver position. On Tuesday, the Bills turned to Philly Brown, who spent all of training camp and four preseason games with the Bills, to come help bolster the receiving corps during Matthews’ injury.

Brown looked to be a reliable target for the quarterbacks. His release after the fourth preseason game was a bit of a surprise, leaving the Bills even more depleted at the position. Over four preseason games, Brown had 9 catches for a total of 87 yards.
