The Buffalo Bills made a roster move on Wednesday, announcing that second-year cornerback Kaiir Elam has been activated from injured reserve. Given that they placed defensive tackle Jordan Phillips on IR last week, the Bills did not need to make a corresponding move to add Elam back to the 53-man roster.
Elam, 22, has played in just three games this season, starting two. He struggled mightily in those contests, allowing 10 of the 14 passes thrown his way to be completed for a total of 135 yards. This comes after a rookie season where he struggled in a similar fashion, allowing 33-of-47 passes to be completed for 363 yards and three touchdowns.
