The Buffalo Bills selected defensive end A.J. Epenesa with the 54th overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Despite adding the former Iowa Hawkeye to an already loaded defensive line, the theme of this draft was clear. Out of the Bills seven draft picks, four were offensive skill positions and another was a specialist.
The NFL Draft is usually not an automatic fix to any team’s roster issues. Many of these new additions will not be Day One starters and will likely take a season or two to fully develop their talent. Of course, there is also the unfortunate possibility that some of these picks will not work out altogether.
