The NFL announced Thursday that Bills WR Walter Powell has been suspended four games for testing positive for performance-enhancing substances.
Powell will be eligible to return to the Bills on Monday, October 2 following their Week 4 game against the Falcons.
Powell, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cardinals back in May of last year. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason in 2014, but he wound up being claimed off of waivers by the Jets.
The Bills signed Powell to their practice squad during the 2015 season.
