Immediately following the play, Valdes-Scantling remained slumped over on his knees as team medical personnel, teammates, coaches, and more gathered around him.
Gathering his feet with help from others, MVS walked gingerly to the sideline and into the blue medical tent. Some time after, MVS exited the tent in an emotional state. Bills sideline reporter Maddy Glab later reported that MVS had suffered a neck injury and was doubtful to return.
