Former Buffalo Bills quarterback and fan favorite Ryan Fitzpatrick won’t be returning to Orchard Park this season as originally predicted. Fitzpatrick left the Washington Football Team’s Week 1 game with a hip subluxation (ball out of the socket) and was placed on Injured Reserve Monday. The move means Fitzpatrick is out for at least three weeks, including the Week 3 contest in Western New York.
Instead of Fitzpatrick, the WFT will start Taylor Heinicke at quarterback. A 2015 undrafted free agent, Heinicke will receive the second start of his NFL career in Week 2.
