The Buffalo Bills announced that they have signed former New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals receiver Brandon Tate to their 53-man roster, inserting him into the spot that had been held for Dan Vitale before he failed his team physical.
The wide receiver made his money as a kick returner during his time in the NFL. He nearly broke the NCAA record for kick return yardage during his college career. As a pass catcher, he never surpassed the 24/432/3 receiving slash he put up during his second year as a pro with New England.
Tate has two career kick return touchdowns and a punt return touchdown.
