There was a common refrain during postgame interviews in Buffalo’s locker room after the Bills handed the Patriots their first ever shutout loss at Gillette Stadium Sunday. To outside observers it was a landmark divisional win. The players however, were all downplaying the victory and with good reason.
“It’s just one game,” said LeSean McCoy, who was a matchup nightmare catching passes out of the backfield Sunday. “In this league you can’t get too high or too low. When we were 0-2 guys had the same mindset that we had to get better. This game was a big win for us.
