Bills name Meyer Football Operations Consultant

He’s served as an offensive line coach, an offensive coordinator and a strength and conditioning coach. As the newest coaching hire of the Bills Pat Meyer will be serving on Rex Ryan’s staff as the team’s football operations consultant. Meyer worked with the staff during minicamp and was hired at the conclusion of minicamp.

Meyer spent the 2014 season as the offensive line coach of the Chicago Bears after serving the previous year as the assistant offensive line coach. Under his tutelage, Bears offensive guard Kyle Long earned his way to his second career Pro Bowl appearance. In assisting with the Bears offensive line in 2013 the team allowed just 30 sacks—tied for the fourth fewest in the NFL.
