It was expected that the Buffalo Bills would add a few players through waiver claims on Sunday afternoon. While that expectation did come true, many were surprised with the players released to make room for the new additions.
Heading into training camp many expected Jonathan Williams, Philly Brown, and Gerald Hodges to be valuable backups this season. Brown was expected to compete for the third or fourth receiver spot, and Hodges as a flexible linebacker joining a position of need for the Bills.
