Buffalo Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes, a Houston native, will donate $25,000 to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts after catastrophic flooding in the region over the past several days.
"I understand what the people of Houston are actually going through at this time," Hughes said in the Bills' locker room Tuesday. "Just to see them struggling where people are actually writing social security numbers on their ID. They're trying to wait out the water and not have boat access. So people might not be able to swim. It's great to see people are helping out, so I just wanted to contribute and do my part.
