KANSAS CITY -- The Buffalo Bills defense needed a stop.
Quarterback Josh Allen just led a late touchdown drive to take a four-point lead against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. A little over one minute remained on the clock in the teams' fifth meeting in the past three years. For the Bills, a chance to stop quarterback Patrick Mahomes was on the line, something they fell short of doing the past two Januarys when he helped the Chiefs eliminate the Bills from the playoffs.
To fix that this offseason, the Bills invested more than $51 million guaranteed in free agency to bring in one of the best pass-rushers in NFL history to show up in just these types of moments.
