Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley wasn't kidding when he said in January that reporters could take off the first week of free agency; his team did not sign any players through the first seven days of the free-agent signing period.
That changed Wednesday when the Bills signed an undisclosed deal with tight end Jim Dray, who was released by the Cleveland Browns last month.
Dray, 29, fills a void at tight end for the Bills, who lacked a strong blocker to join top tight end Charles Clay on the field in running situations after releasing veteran Matthew Mulligan early last December.
