PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills co-owner Kim Pegula did not mince words when she was asked at the beginning of training camp late last month about her expectations for the upcoming season.
"Win. Winning," she told WGR 550. "We're expecting wins."
On one hand, it was an obvious response. All 32 NFL teams are in the business of winning, and few are patient enough to label that goal as unrealistic in any given year. But on the other hand, Pegula's response was an important, symbolic representation of the pressure that a 16-year playoff drought has created in the city, as well as the heat that could be on Rex Ryan if he can't make progress in his second year as head coach.
