With the linebacker position the first to be struck by injury in training camp the Bills wasted no time adding a pair of veteran linebackers to the roster Sunday.
Buffalo signed free agent LBs Brandon Spikes and David Hawthorne shortly after both completed workouts for the club.
The Bills lost LB Kevin Reddick with a knee injury and he was waived/injured. They also do not know how long they could be without rookie inside linebacker Reggie Ragland, who sustained a knee injury in practice Friday. After initial MRIs were inconclusive due to swelling in Ragland’s knee, head coach Rex Ryan is just hoping that the Bills second-round pick won’t miss significant time.
