LeSean McCoy's defense lawyer said Thursday that the Pennsylvania attorney general's office had closed its investigation into a nightclub brawl that left two off-duty police officers injured and involved the Bills running back.

Dennis Cogan told The Buffalo News he was informed earlier Thursday that the five-months-long review of the fight had been officially dropped. He was unable to provide further information.

In April, Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams said McCoy wouldn't be charged in the incident, concluding that he couldn't prove who initiated the fight and said it's legal to act in self-defense or the defense of others.
