The Buffalo Bills lost a (somehow) close game to the Houston Texans in large part thanks to a bad day from quarterback Josh Allen and the passing game. Not just a bad day mind you, but a bad day worthy of the record books.
Naturally we’d all like to know just what the heck happened. I’ll start my work with credit to B.J. Monacelli and Bruce Nolan who both discussed Houston’s usage of single-high safety looks and man coverage. B.J. brought up blitz usage and let’s just say that my film review basically turned into confirming what those two were already thinking/saying.
