AJ McCarron may have pulled ahead in Buffalo Bills quarterback competition

Throughout the spring and into training camp at St. John Fisher College, the Buffalo Bills have been alternating starting quarterback reps between AJ McCarron and Nathan Peterman. That changed on Thursday, as McCarron saw first-team reps for the second consecutive day.

Peterman opened camp as the first QB to take starting reps. While rookie Josh Allen has been sprinkled into the starting lineup for a session or two during practice, the lion’s share of snaps went to that day’s starter.

McCarron has looked better on the whole during camp than Peterman, who remains inconsistent.
