ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Late in the 2014 season, the Buffalo Bills' playoff hopes evaporated on a December afternoon at the Oakland Coliseum. Then 8-6, the Bills were knocked out of postseason contention by the 2-12 Raiders with a crushing, 26-24 loss.
Almost two years later, the Bills will be making another trip to the Bay Area with their playoff aspirations potentially hanging in the balance. The 6-5 Bills will not be mathematically eliminated from the postseason if they lose Sunday against the Raiders, but it would be a significant blow to a team that more than likely would need to win all of its remaining games in order to finish 11-5 and feel comfortable about earning a playoff berth.
