Generally speaking, the Buffalo Bills prefer that their backup offensive linemen have the ability to play multiple spots along the offensive line. That doesn’t mean a player who doesn’t play multiple spots can’t make the final roster, but it definitely limits that player’s potential.
The Bills tend to keep nine offensive linemen on their 53-man roster, and sometimes they’ve even kept 10. Regardless, the team will usually roll with eight linemen on game day. It’s a position where there’s definitely room to break into the fold, but there isn’t much space for a player to find a niche beyond the backup role at present.
