The Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets made a trade with one another at the end of the preseason. That doesn’t happen very often, which is why it’s worth mentioning. The last time teh Bills and Jets traded with each other was in 1987, when Buffalo shipped nose tackle Don Smith to the Jets for a “late-round draft choice in 1988.” I can’t find any record of that choice actually being used by the Bills, however, so it’s possible that the Bills made that trade for essentially nothing.
This deal, however, doesn’t appear to be something so small.
