1 - Four-year starter
Vallejo was a four-year starter, stepping into the starting defense for the Broncos as a freshman after appearing in his first five collegiate games. He was a starter the rest of his college career. He led the team in tackles as a sophomore with 100 takedowns.
2 - He was MVP twice
Vallejo earned Most Valuable Player honors in the Mountain West conference championship game after posting 13 tackles and an interception return for a touchdown. He followed that up with 14.5 tackles and 1.5 sacks to garner Fiesta Bowl MVP honors as well.
