The Buffalo Bills haven’t selected a defensive end on the first two days of the NFL Draft since they drafted current starting edge defender Gregory Rousseau at pick No. 30 overall of the first round in 2021. Buffalo won’t have a cost-controlled starter after the 2024 NFL season, with Rousseau set for a sizable pay jump in 2025 while playing on the fifth-year option.
It’s time for the franchise to, once again, prioritize selecting an edge rusher early in next year’s draft. General manager Brandon Beane needs to find a blue-chip player at the position who will provide the team with a bargain deal spanning four years.
