With the 19th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills have selected DE/OLB Shaq Lawson out of Clemson.
Position: Defensive End/OLB
Measurables: 6’3’’, 269 pounds, 4.70 40-yard dash, 32 3/4 arm length
Analysis:
Lawson might be better off as a 4-3 DE, but has the ability to be a 3-4 OLB. He capitalized on his potential last year, racking up 24.5 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks. While he’ll need work in coverage in a 3-4 scheme, Lawson should excel in the area teams want: getting to the QB.
