In an interview with Adam Zagoria of NJ.com, Sean Marks was adamant that the Brooklyn Nets aren’t “tanking,” but instead “competing” and “letting the chips fall where they may.”
“We don’t use some of those words [like ‘tanking’], so it’s go compete, go compete and let the chips fall where they may,” Marks told Zagoria in an exclusive interview before the Nets lost to the Knicks, 124-122, Friday night at MSG.
The Nets, of course, were pegged as the league’s worst team in the preseason with sports betting sites almost universally putting their win total at less than 20 — 19.
